[It's a message, technically. One that'll only alert her to it when she's outside of whatever building she's in. When she's a little bit freer to talk.]
Hey, kid. It's Bucky. Let me know when you get this.
[It's the morning after they got back from the last mission. And while he knows he made Eleven a promise of waffle mountains and camp outs, after everything that happened during their last mission, he's had to put that on hold. At least temporarily.
So instead, there's a box left outside her tent for when she returns. Inside, there's a few bags of pre-made waffles, along with a note explaining how to reheat them. Next, is a new friend for her, even if she doesn't have the context behind it. And finally, something more her size. Not that he's planning on asking for his own jacket back. He's already claimed a temporary replacement. And, if she checks the pockets, there's also a folded up note waiting for her:
Hey, Eleven
I'm going to have to take a rain check on our plans for a while. Some stuff came up that I need to take care of first. But the second I can, I'll be coming to see you. If you need anything before that, you come find me. I don't care what it is. I'll be there.
Sorry for cancelling on you like this. I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't important. And I promise I'll make it up to you as soon as I can.
Bucky
And that's it. Sorry, kiddo, but he has a best friend-slash-something he needs to focus on for a while.]
Hello, hello, hello! Just checking in, seeing how you're doing now that we're all back on this station, eh. Like a bit of a house-call, only there's no house. Just the station. And the call.
Anywho β I'll be around, just message me when you get this!
[Eleven is still out as Christmas approaches. Clara isn't going to leave her out of the festivities, however. She leaves a wrapped gift at Eleven's bedside table in the infirmary. Whenever she wakes up, it'll be there to open.
Inside is a big bag of sweets that she made herself, a stuffed little dragon, and a little jack o lantern made out of orange clay. It's face is almost a perfect replica of the pumpkin Eleven had carved back around Halloween.
There's also a note beneath the items in the box.
Here are a few things I hope make you feel like a fourteen year old girl that's getting to enjoy all the excitement life in space has to offer. I know so many experiences here are your first, and things must seem so overwhelming sometimes. But please never forget that I'm always here to help guide you if you need it. Sorry I wasn't able to make Halloween absolutely perfect, but if you wake up in time to enjoy Christmas I'll make sure to share every wonderful aspect of it with you.
[It's 2 in the morning, or whatever equivalent the station has β the time most people try to get some shut-eye, anyway. Newt had been someone in that very same situation himself, pleasantly dreaming of home and friends he hasn't seen in years, just before the skies turned dark and his nose had began to gush blood β
Only he had woken up to no blood. No dark skies, no chittering precursor voices. But it's enough to startle him to his feet and out the door; he forgets his glasses as he goes β not for the first time β and ends up pacing the halls and chewing his thumbnail like a paranoid freak.
It's where he very nearly runs right into Eleven, and he looks at her blurry outline anxiously.]
What're you doing up right now, kid? You should be getting some sleep...!
[He says it fast and breathlessly, maybe even with exasperated irritation, like someone who is just trying to get her out of there so he can self-destruct in peace. But there's no peace to be had, and as he paces even still, he rubs his own arms and tries to settle the choking fear of a million beady black eyes on him.]
I saw your reply to Dr. Geiszler. I want you to know, that you shouldn't ever let anyone make you feel like you have to talk about the laboratory to be taken seriously.
[ yet another flyer ends up on every orber's door, evidently by the same culprit as last time, except now it's a more colorful display:
the back of the flyer features more details about the play and its characters, and soon enough, an announcement from rita herself goes public, giving more context about the event, which all can sign up for. ]

[Quick and to the point. With so many people letting the most recent mission get to them, seems worth checking on Eleven.
Hard to say how she'd be taking all of this.]

Just wanted to let you know if you have any questions about kissing or sex things
Or language adults don't want to explain
Feel free to ask me if you want a second opinion.
Cool?
